Deactivate a user from the Dashboard
The steps on this page were drafted from the deactivation concept and the API guide's requirements. Nobody has confirmed them against the live Dashboard yet. Before this page publishes, someone with Dashboard access needs to perform the steps in the real Dashboard, correct anything that differs, and add what's missing (the exact Dashboard pathway, button names, and any confirmation dialogs).
You can deactivate a user directly from your Dashboard.
Before you start
All of the following conditions must be met:
- All the user's account memberships are disabled.
- The user isn't the legal representative for any account.
- The user doesn't have a team membership to any of your projects.
- Go to Dashboard > your profile > Team management to confirm the user isn't a team member.
Review the deactivation concept for the full model, including rejection reasons.
Steps
- On your Dashboard, go to Data > Users.
- Open the user you need to deactivate and deactivate them.
If the user doesn't meet the Before you start conditions, the Dashboard displays an error and the user isn't deactivated.
Find deactivated users
Deactivated users don't appear in the default user list. To review them, filter the user list by status. The user's deactivation date is displayed in their detail view.
